Field Pilot Projects
1. Benbrook, Texas; Barnett Shale Flow Back; January 2007
Designed and implemented pretreatment and filtration systems treating frack flowback water for Encana. Successful results were achieved in that over a million gallons of water per month for a year were treated and reused.
2. Coos Bay, Oregon; Coal Bed Produced Water; May 2007
Initiated pretreatment process specific to Coal Bed produced waters enabling company to meet Oregon's Department of Environmental Quality discharge levels for a permit to release treated water back into the watershed.
3. Jacksboro, Texas; Barnett Shale Flow Back; July 2007
Developed pretreatment system to remove sediments and chemicals before membrane filtration to recycle frack flow back into reusable water for discharge or re-fracking. Seven day test was rendered a success, yielding 500 plus BBLS of water testing less than 250 ppm Chlorides.
4. Lysite, Wyoming; Produced Water; November 2007
Utilized unique pretreatment process to separate sediment and contaminants suitable to meet Wyoming Department of Energy discharge levels and then achieved drinking water status when membrane technology was applied, further enhancing water reuse capabilities. Seven day test met customer requirements, which in turn, led to a commercial system design request by the customer capable of treating 7500 BBLS per day. The design is still under consideration.
5. East Texas Pilot; Pit, Flowback and Produced Water; April 2009
Enhanced pretreatment process together with successful blending of incoming waters, when required, to render drinking water quality permeate. Achieved capability to adjust pretreatment and membrane filtration processes to give acceptable minimum chloride limits for frack design, saving operators completion budget money.
